Description

The Risom Barstool by Jens Risom for Knoll extends the very first Knoll collection — designed in 1943 and defined by its honest use of cost-effective wartime materials — to bar height. Described as good, honest furniture design, the Risom Collection helped establish Knoll as an early pioneer of Modernism in America.

The barstool pairs a solid hardwood frame, available in walnut, ebonized maple or maple with a catalysed clear lacquer finish, with a hand-applied woven seat in 100% natural cotton or a Sunbrella acrylic-polyester blend. An aluminium foot cap (polished or black) enhances durability at the footrest, and a slat-back version without webbing is available to order.

The Risom Barstool brings warm, craft-led modernism to kitchens, cafes and design-led hospitality bars.
