Designed by Formway for Knoll, the MultiGeneration Light Task Chair redefines how we sit in shared workspaces. Compact and responsive, this lightweight chair accommodates the way people naturally move—without restricting posture. The perforated back promotes breathability and flexibility, while the gently contoured seat and cantilevered arms allow for comfortable shifting and side sitting.

Its 5-star swivel base on castors ensures easy mobility, and the optional seat pad adds an extra level of softness for longer durations. True to its name, the chair fosters active engagement—ideal for breakout rooms, co-working hubs, and home offices alike. It delivers ergonomic performance, but without the bulk or over-engineering of traditional task chairs.

Sustainable, accessible, and intentionally open in design, the MultiGeneration Light Task embodies Knoll’s belief that movement supports focus—and that fidgeting helps us think.
